We Care Academy’s "Keep Arts Alive" campaign helps to supplement the visual arts programs many schools have had to cut for budget reasons. It is well-known that students who participate in the arts see their academic grades improve, learn productive creative skills, and build their self-confidence to reach their full potential. Our programs serve students kindergarten through 8th grade and focuses on developing student’s creativity, imaginations, and self-expression. Combining mathematics, architectural design, simple drawing and painting, and literature we will have students create and design their own cities, stories, and solve problems by visualizing the scenarios.
We believe that the arts are as integral to learning as all other academic subjects. Students will engage in a creative process, problem-solving, and aesthetic understanding through development and examination of their own art works and the art works of others in many different forms.
Students develop creativity, critical-thinking, perceptual awareness, and problem solving skills through this critical and creative exposure to artwork and structures. Students engage in aesthetic dialogue, considering essential questions of art, making effort toward constructing meaning as they encounter and produce works of art.
Information may be documented through journal-keeping, brainstorming lists, project development, and in the course of conversations. Our program follows the Fine Arts Visual Georgia Performance Standards for the range of grade levels we serve.
With your support and participation We Care Academy will be able to provide a quality visual arts program for students and an outstanding experience for developing children. We are grateful that you are taking an interest in helping to give students a head start on learning.
